Dodgy Aliens #3 and #4

Filed in: TV & Movies.

A couple of weekends ago, I had the pleasure(?!) of seeing the last story of the original 70s Tomorrow People series, titled War of the Empires. This brings me to...

[General Vishishnou]

Meet General Vishishnou of the Sorson empire. Sorsons have the rough shape of a 2-metre-tall column, with one arm sticking out at about groin level. At least, I hope it's an arm. It's altogether possible that it's not an arm, but one of the characters shakes it at one point, so...

The Sorsons are at war with the Thargons, who this time are sadly not accompanied by a Thing. Thing would have made the story perfect.

Dodgy Alien #4 is the "chair-creature" of the Galactic Federation Council. S/he/it looks like this:

[chair-creature]

S/he/it's eyes boggle most impressively, but then they have to make up for being s/he/it's only facial features. But, at least s/he/it has facial features. I'm not sure how the actors knew which part of the Sorsons they were meant to be addressing.

According to Big Finishs' TTP series, they've definitely bastarded up over the last twentysomething years or so. They breed like bunnies and they've gotten bloodthirsty enough to execute dissidents to their rule. They appear to have become the TTP version of the Daleks...

I do not wish to speculate on the mechanics of Sorson mating. :)

With any luck, they're parthenogenic, although
according to the "War of the Empires" dialogue,
they're apparently molluscs. Ergo, the limb is apparently some sort of articulated tentacle,
used to grasp objects.
