Psst, Xtra, your broadband SUCKS!

A couple of days ago, Xtra finally introduced uncapped broadband in New Zealand. Like a fool, I thought this would mean a better connection, but since switching I've had speeds only slightly better than dial up, and my connection keeps going dead for minutes at a time.
This sucks hard.

I'm sure they will do once Xtra gets their crap sorted and the competition hots up. As it is, I suspect there's currently a net flow of users from Xtra to other ISPs...

Thank CHRIST I'm not the only one!
It was bad here (chch) before uncapped was launched, but since it has actually become worse! (which I didn't realise until now was actually possible).
Constantly dropping the connection, crawling speeds... a lot of the time its unable to complete a 5mb download.
The Xtra techs are quick to suggest multiple reasons why it might be something WE'RE doing wrong...
Xtra, sort it out for gods sake. You're making a mockery of the concept of broadband internet.

So how long until they sort this speed issue out. cuz i really cannot justify the price i spend on my current internet plan.

Yes, xtra is the shittiest ISP IN THE WORLD. Their help support is especially useless, and they seem to have a knack for blaming other people, or hardware, for their crap services. Eat shit and die Xtra and Telecom.

Gee I went to GoLarge Now known as (Go Slow) and fuck me if i didn't get ripped off..
My internet just crawled and my power just climbed trying to get tv shows downloaded. A normal download which could take 40 minutes went up to 15 to 20 hours. Now I have complained and gone back to the Explorer plan and things seem normal again but I am now filthy on them I have transferred all my phone services to Telstra An will pick up one of their Broadband plans (cheaper and twice the cap) Fuck you Xtra Fuck you Telescum you fucked me for the last time you cock suckers..

Yes even still in 2011 XTRA broadband is totally awful. I've had a long history of extremely poor and slow service and paid top dollar. It cuts out, stops, sometimes dial-up is faster and only that works.
They are rip-off artists happy to take your money and blame your PC and connections to excuse their slackness. No I'm not out-of-town. I've kept loyal to them, and it doesn't mean a thing to them.
