Alden Bates' WeblogFeigning normality since 1973"Flick" Your ISPFiled in: Internet. On Mintshot, an ISP named Slingshot has an auction titled "Flick your ISP", which gets you a 12 month package. Possibly a bit of an odd name until you see the graphic they use to represent the auction:
Interesting choice of font... :) Posted November 28, 2007 11:18 PM CommentsThat doesn't surprise me - most of the adverts are for NZ products which wouldn't be available overseas. Plus if a bunch of overseas people signed up, it would mean a lot of overseas postage when they won auctions. Not to mention many of the prizes are vouchers, which you then wouldn't be able to redeem as they're for NZ chains... :) Posted by: Alden Just like "Flick", "Clint" is another word that should be avoided when the writing's all in caps (as comic book dialogue often is). Such words - and there are a few others I can't recall right now - have a certain notoriety amongst comic strip writers.
