Pop quiz: What is the logo on the left there supposed to be? Is it:

Pah, amateurs. The logo is very obviously the symbol of Nub-Shiggurath, the Goat With a Thousand Young, She Who Reigns in the Abyss with the Haunter Of the Dark, Nyarlathotep, and the blind idiot demon-god Azathoth. Putting this on the cover of the White Pages is clearly a clue that the Wellington and Hutt District Councils are in league with extra-dimensional monsters from a realm of inconceivable madness and terror. Further proof of this can be seen in Lower Hutt's new slogan: "Swift and bloody shall be the death of the bleating sheep masses, for to serve the dark and majestic designs of our almighty Lord Tsathoggua", and in the fact that if you combine the names of Kerry Prendergast, Mark Blumsky and popular lounge singer Tony Bennett, you get 'Alien devils rule'.

Reminds me of when Statistics New Zealand "reimaged" their logo. What I saw wasn't what they intended (and they had some weridass idea about it representing... something I can't remember. See? That's how well it worked!)
