Windows Live Messenger is a Hog

Filed in: Computers.

I've noticed that after my computer has been running a while, Windows Live Messenger will go into some sort of funky loop and start eating up memory and CPU cycles. Allow me to demonstrate:

Time to try out one of the substitutes, I think.

I am disliking this DARN AVG less and less everyday. It's a huge program that slows down us dial up user real bad. & now I think I have a virus & I'm trying to download for another virus scanner from microsoft.com and I believe that AVG won't let me download it. AND I can't figure out how to turn the DARN thing off.

Sorry, commented on the wrong page LOL!! that has been happening to me too though. I open the task manger a anywhere from 1 to 15 of them will open. Whats up with that? I didn't know it was caused from the windows live messenger. I don't ever use it anyways so its out of here along with that AVG program.
